We just shipped something we're genuinely excited about: ReelRifter now exposes your watchlist data through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the open standard that lets AI assistants securely read external data.
What this means in practice
Connect your ReelRifter account to Claude.ai or any MCP-compatible tool, and you can ask questions like:
- "What am I currently watching and where did I leave off?"
- "Which shows on my watchlist have I rated highest?"
- "How many episodes until I finish The Bear?"
- "What are my watch statistics this month?"
The AI has read-only access to your watchlist, watch status, ratings, and streak data — it can answer questions and surface insights, but it can't modify anything.
Setting it up
Go to Settings → Integrations to get your personal MCP server URL. It takes about two minutes to connect from Claude.ai. Full step-by-step instructions are on that page.
MCP integration is available on Pro and Family plans. More integrations — including ChatGPT support as it rolls out — are coming soon.
