Overview
Your public profile at /w/[username] is your watching identity on the web. You can share it with anyone — even non-ReelRifter users can view it without an account.
Setting Up Your Profile
Go to Settings → Profile to configure:
- •Username — your public URL handle (alphanumeric, 3–20 characters)
- •Display name — the name shown on your profile page
- •Bio — short text description (up to 160 characters)
- •Avatar — upload a profile photo or choose from generated avatars
- •Profile visibility — Public, Friends Only, or Private
What's Visible on a Public Profile
By default, a public profile shows:
- •Display name, avatar, bio
- •Watching stats (total titles watched, hours, streak)
- •Currently Watching shows
- •Recently Finished (last 5 titles)
- •Top Genres and Top-Rated Titles (if not hidden)
- •Achievements and badges earned
What You Can Hide
In Settings → Privacy, you can individually hide:
- •Currently Watching list
- •Rating history
- •Friends list
- •Achievements
- •Specific titles
Sharing Your Profile
The profile URL /w/[username] is shareable anywhere. Your profile also has a Copy Link button for quick sharing. Friends see additional detail (full Watchlist if permitted) beyond what anonymous viewers see.
Taste Profile
Your public profile includes a Taste Profile visualization showing your genre breakdowns, preferred eras, and average rating — a quick read on your watching personality.
