Overview
Linking your streaming services tells ReelRifter what content is available to you right now. This powers availability badges on every title, AI recommendation filters, leaving-soon alerts, and the Cost Optimizer's value calculations.
Setting Up Services
Go to Settings → Streaming Services or open the Cost Optimizer at /optimizer. You'll see a grid of all major streaming services — Netflix, Max, Disney+, Hulu, Apple TV+, Peacock, Paramount+, AMC+, Shudder, and more. Toggle each service on and enter your monthly subscription price.
Monthly Price Entry
Entering your actual monthly price (or your share of a shared plan) allows the Cost Optimizer to calculate your Cost Per Hour and Cost Per Title watched. This surfaces which services are giving you the most value based on your actual viewing habits.
How Services Are Used
- •Availability badges — title cards show which of your services a title is on
- •AI recommendations — the AI only recommends titles streamable on your services (unless you ask otherwise)
- •Leaving Soon alerts — only fire for content on services you have connected
- •Release Radar — shows premiere dates for titles on your services
- •Cost Optimizer — calculates monthly streaming value
Updating Services
Add or remove services at any time. Changes take effect immediately. If you cancel a service, removing it from ReelRifter stops any associated alerts.
