Overview
ReelRifter's AI Recommendations feature (Pro and above) gives you two powerful tools: personalized picks generated from deep analysis of your taste profile, and a natural-language chat interface to explore your own watch data.
AI Picks (at /ai/recommend)
The AI Picks tab surfaces 10 personalized recommendations refreshed daily. Each pick includes:
- •Why you'll like it — a plain-English explanation connecting the pick to your watch history
- •Where to watch — availability on your linked streaming services
- •Similarity score — how closely it matches your taste profile
The AI considers: your ratings, genres you've rated highly, shows you've finished vs. dropped, your configured streaming services, and your watch history recency.
Chat with Your Data
Switch to the Chat tab to ask natural-language questions about your watching habits. Examples:
- •"What should I watch next on Netflix?"
- •"How many hours did I watch last month?"
- •"Which shows did I start but never finish?"
- •"Recommend something similar to Severance but shorter"
- •"What's the highest-rated show in my Want to Watch list?"
- •"Am I watching more dramas or comedies this year?"
The AI has access to your Watchlist, ratings, episode progress, streaming services, and stats when answering.
Regenerating Picks
Click Refresh Picks to regenerate recommendations at any time. The AI pulls fresh data from TMDB and re-evaluates against your current Watchlist state.
Plan Requirement
AI Recommendations require a Pro, Pro+Sports, or Family plan. Free users see a preview with 3 picks and can upgrade from the page.
