Overview
Your Watchlist is the heart of ReelRifter. Every title you add lives here, enriched with status, ratings, episode progress, personal notes, and an ownership flag.
Adding Titles
Search for any show or movie using the global search bar (press / to open it instantly). From any title card or detail page, click + Add to Watchlist to add it with a single click. You can also bulk-add from Discovery features like Hidden Gems or Collections.
Status Types
Each title has one of five statuses:
- •Watching — currently in progress; shows in your Continue Watching section
- •Want to Watch — on your queue for later
- •Finished — you've completed it; counts toward streak and stats
- •Dropped — you stopped watching; excluded from streak calculations
- •On Hold — paused but intend to return; stays visible in your list
Change status at any time from the title detail page or inline on the Watchlist grid.
Ratings
Rate any title 1–10 using the star/number selector on the detail page. Ratings feed into AI recommendations and your taste profile visible to friends.
Episode Tracking
For TV shows, ReelRifter tracks your current season and episode (S/E progress). Use the +Episode button on any show card for a one-tap bump to the next episode, or set your position manually. Shows with unwatched episodes surface in the Continue Watching section on your dashboard.
Notes
Each watchlist entry supports free-text personal notes — add spoiler thoughts, watch-with recommendations, or reminders. Notes are private by default.
Owned Flag
Mark a title as Owned (DVD, Blu-ray, digital purchase) to separate it from streaming picks. Owned titles are visible in a dedicated filter on your Watchlist and exportable.
Filtering & Sorting
Filter your Watchlist by status, media type (TV/Movie), genre, streaming service, rating, and owned flag. Sort by date added, rating, title, or release date.
