Overview
Upcoming Movies keeps you ahead of the release calendar so you never miss a film you're excited about. It covers both theatrical releases and movies premiering directly on streaming services.
Release Types
- •Theatrical — in cinemas, with expected streaming window indicated where known
- •Streaming Premiere — dropping directly on a streaming platform on a specific date
- •VOD / Digital — available to rent or purchase digitally
The Calendar View
Movies are displayed in chronological order by release date, with a monthly header grouping them. Click any movie to open its full detail page with cast, trailer, synopsis, and streaming availability.
Filtering
- •Genre — filter by action, comedy, horror, thriller, sci-fi, drama, animation, documentary
- •Service — see only movies coming to your linked streaming services
- •Release type — toggle theatrical vs. streaming vs. VOD
Adding to Want to Watch
Each movie card has a + Want to Watch button. Once added, you'll receive a notification when the movie becomes available on one of your streaming services (if movie release notifications are enabled in Settings).
Reminders
Set a release reminder directly from the movie's detail page. ReelRifter sends a push notification on the day of release to remind you it's available.
